The End of My Gaming Life

Well I've decided to quit gaming last few weeks ago. Reasons:

  • It is time consuming
  • I've hai-ed too many friends (one of my friend here nearly kena excluded by sch)
  • And my mom always say: "why so big liao still play games!?"

I started to play games in cyber since I was twelve. As mom was trying to improve the relation between my brother and I, so I always follow my bro to cyber. Everything started when a bunch of guys from behind said: " uih look at that kid, legs havent reach floor(while i was sitting) already start pwning liao." and that was the moment I got addicted.

After I had entered high sch, I was getting bored since most of my friends and classmate don't play games at cyber at all. "walao why are these guys only talk abt chess and homework, bu tiam I must tarik few of them so that i got friends to talk abt games with." So from j1-s3, i've tarik-ed many of them..since it is hard to balance both games and studies, most of them did pretty bad at studies compare to the time when they havent knew me =D . I end-up with a nick "venomancer", if you have no idea what it is..take a look at the picture below and figure it out why.

Anyway, I never regret to step in the life of gaming. I've learnt a lot of things such as ways to deal with bastard, ways to stay clam whenever you need to be calmed, ways to lead a team and also ways to lie to your parents that you are having extra classes while playing dota at cyber. Besides, lots of pride moments as well during my gaming life....the feeling is very good when you and your team won the title of champion..after what you guys have been tru (training + argue, just like what happened in sport meet)...it is still fresh in my mind.
Bah enough of my stories, those were just past tense and I'll nvr forget it. Now already felt like kinda old for it, guess it is time for me to quit. I know there are many ppls out there thinking that im going to fail at quitting (as most of the gamers that tried, did fail)..so i wont blame at those ppl if they think that way..only time can prove it =D

Sad to see you leaving the scene, but I guess everyone has to move on at some point. I still think casual gaming is good for social and relaxation purposes, but then again there are many things else in life worth pursuing, e.g. playing "Cards". ;)

AHAHA~!! GENG!

Wow shaun. Hard choice you made there I think. Though honestly, I will have to say that it's quite a waste for you to quit. You've got talent in gaming ^^ seriously.

I'm sure one day you'll realise that you needn't actually "quit" gaming. But just balance it around a bit more.

Haha.

Cheers

@Jimmy & Bert- Yeah I know that casual gaming is good, but what I enjoy the most in gaming is to beat other people, not graphic/sound system/storyline etc of the games..thats why I rather quit and play 'cards' =D

@Winston- Yoyo, I hope I've made the right choice too..nothing much abt my new hobby, normal life hehe. Can't wait to meet up with you in Dec, have fun there.
